Meeting Stephen Donaldson

Hi Guys, have any of you met Mr Donaldson, I met him some years ago
at a book signing in Forbidden Planet here in London England.
Mr Donaldson was doing a signing for the first Hard Back Edition of the
First Gap book.
When it came to my turn I told him the usual thing about how much I enjoyed the Covenant books and that I thought they was the most original Fantasy Series since Tolkien and did not mimic him either.
Mr Donaldson then asked me who to sign the book to and I said to Andrew please but would it be possible to sign the book as Saltheart Foamfollower
would have done it, which he did and so I have something
no one else does.
I have also had Tad Williams do the same thing for me as well.

Several of us met him just a little over a week ago. See the Elohimfest 2007, Waddley's thread and the Elohimfest pics thread for more info.
I'm curious.....sign the book as Foamfollower would have, does that mean he wrote extremely large letters?

It probably says, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA" in really big letters!
I actually have somehow managed to become friends with him. He's an awesome guy, seriously awesome.

Oh really why is that, is it because it could be sold on something like ebay

Jenn can answer better than I can - I think it has something to do with being put on the spot. You can imagine how difficult it would be, if you were doing a book signing and everyone wanting something personal.....

In the gaming forum (In Pursuit of Mallory) there is a guess the next poster game and Damelon took up the whole page number 480 with just us going back and forth guessing each other, then page 482 is all Cheval and Damelon and I guessing each other. It's silly but fun!

Actually, I liked the one better of him lighting a cigar in bed with them. I found that to be completely unlike I ever imagined him solely from reading his books.
