one of my favorite series. lots of great characters and well paced stories. Grist has a dry sense of humor that serves the material well.

He kind of looks like Marvel's Union Jack:

Grist had a story for Marvel involving Union Jack, when they passed he reworked it into Jack Staff. great stuff. and btw, did you pick up the last Union Jack miniseries? also good stuff.

Great stuff? Please. I've been reading Marvel comics for years, and if they rejected the story, then it must have been pretty awful, considering some of the crap they didn't reject......

it didn't suit there X-Men/Civil War style of despair and hatred. it was more retro and fun. and fun shall not be bandied about in the Marvel offices. hell DC has gone that route as well.

"Britain's greatest hero, or Britain's greatest Killer?" is a fun story? I'd hate to read his sad story!

Picked up issue #2 the other day.
The front cover is terrific, and the stories inside a really good too.
I'ts refreshing to read a super-hero comic that's set right here in England.
Not too many of those around.

Definitely a fun read!
