You know me--it's pretty rare that I'd want to see a film again. I do want to see Untamed Heart again (after mentioning it in "Tearjerkers")-hell I want to own it (and The Salton Sea).

But, right now, for shear heart-stopping action I'd really like to see a double header of Breakdown and Switchback. Dammit! Breakdown is so frickin' relentless-every time I think of it I start suckin' wind!

danlo, would you be insulted if I said I don't know Breakdown or Switchback?

One movie I really want to see again is the original theatrical version of Blade Runner (with Harrison Ford's voiceover and the "happy" ending), which is why I'm eager for the Ultimate DVD Edition of the movie coming out later this year.

Those are two great movies.

Typically, if I want to see a movie again, I do, so I don't know that I've got anything to contribute.

There was a made for TV movie that I'd love to see again. It was called, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. Scared the hell out of me as I kid, and now I don't know why. Wow...there is a Wikipedia article about it. Looks like it was out on video, but I don't see anything on DVD. I can't imagine it was any good, but it sure scared me.

With The Bourne Ultimatum fresh in my memory, I need some black comedy on the same subject, and that would be Gross Pointe Blank.

I haven't seen it in a couple years, and I keep catching bits and pieces on TNT, TBS. I must purchase a copy.

This movie is full of the type of dialogue I like, and it has the most hysterical shootout I've ever seen, without the violence falling into slapstick (Okay, except for the tv).

I really like Martin Blank's rationalized cynicism, in counterpoint to Jason Bourne's brooding, focused confusion. Hmmm. Buddy picture?

I heard that it was to be released on DVD with some interviews with Frank Frazetta and Ralph Bakshi but I haven't seen it yet.

Nate and Hayes was on our list to buy for years. Last year it finally hit DVD (thank you, POTC), so I don't have to wait anymore.

Not a great film, but it's a mood movie. You know, the I gotta see Tommie Lee Jones as a pirate or Where can I find a barrel full of severed heads? mood.

My feelings exactly. It's certainly not a great movie, but it is a really good time.

The name isn't movie related. I write SFF, and when I post my stuff on writing sites, the name at the bottom is a tiny pun.

Then again, being a preacher's kid, and all those Sunday mornings littered with scripture readings may have something to do with it . . .

I've never seen Lawrence of Arabia, and I've been saying for years I should. Hey, maybe I REALLY want to see it!

Heh. Definitely see it! Anyway the line I was thinking of was:

"It is written!" to which Lawrence replies (rather famously), "Nothing is written."

It's such a great movie.

Probably the best description of this film I've ever read, and what I'm gonna watch tonight.

So you've got this thousand-year-old incorporeal sorcerer who needs to marry a girl with green eyes; a stolen truck named The Pork Chop Express; two rival Chinatown street gangs; Kim Cattrall as a lawyer whose last name is actually Law; a trio of magical weather-monikered henchmen; and Kurt Russell doing what is, apparently, a mulleted John Wayne impression. There's no denying John Carpenter's "Big Trouble in Little China" is trash, but it's great trash, the kind you reach for when you've got a few friends over, a few beers in you and a desire for raucous, campy entertainment. In other words, this DVD is an invaluable purchase.
