Sombody raised the question, "What's your favorite musical?" and I realized that two of my top ten favorite movies were musicals. I looked but couldn't find a musical thread. Here are the two that are near and dear to my heart.

I'm old school when it comes to musicals. My absolute favorite is Brigadoon, with Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse.

And my next favorite, but only in a theater with props is Rocky Horror.

This may be the saddest thing I've ever read.

Well you took the words right out of my mouth there, on both counts I might add.
There is however one more that I really liked and that was "Gigi" with Leslie Caron, wonderful actress and pretty to boot.

On the Rocky Horror show ... I must have seen that at least there hundred times, lol. Just loved it.

I've already done my share in the 'mancrush' thread, I'm afraid if I say something here I might find a pink drink with a little umbrella in my hand...

OK, OK, OK...

What Jewish-American child on the 1960s can't name that among their favorites...

Who day and night
Must scramble for a living
Feed a wife and children
Say his daily prayers...

AND!!!

Who has the right
As Master of his house
To have the final word
At home.
(HA!!!)

And GiGi...

Avatar and I were just talking (briefly) about GiGi over in The Galley a week or so ago.

A yes...
I remember it well
...

Sarge, the movie version of Hair never did it for me. Same for JC Superstar and G-dspell. But live productions of all three, even small church youth group versions of the last two, are a wonderful thing to behold.

While he's getting old for the part, Ted Neely was just in Gator Town with a professional touring production of JC Superstar, supposedly his farewell tour to the part. I won tickets through a dial-in radio contest. Absolutely awe inspiring live and in-person...
