I see you're into independent films, null. I love Lost In Translation. 13 Moons sounds very intriguing.
I ought to see more indie films, it's just that I saw a whole lotta them in the early '90s and suffered burnout.
My Top 10 hasn't changed all that much. I think my favorites show that I like big budget flicks when they're done well. I'm a sucker for "event" movies. I've already rambled on about these movies in one thread or another:
1. 2001: A Space Odyssey
2. Before Sunrise
3. The Matrix
4. Unforgiven
5. Jurassic Park
6. For The Moment
7. Fellowship of The Ring
8. Blade Runner
9. The Empire Strikes Back
10. Star Trek: The Motion Picture

1. Seven Samurai
2. A Clockwork Orange
3. Apocalypse Now
4. The Godfather: Part II
5. Ran
6. Once Upon A Time in the West
Those are set in stone, but the bottom four are interchangeable:
7. Taxi Driver
8. Aliens
9. Blade Runner
10. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

1. Braveheart
2. The Hi-Lo Country
3. Miller's Crossing
4. Angelheart
5. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
6. On the Waterfront
7. Goodfellas
8. V (foriegn political thriller, not sci-fi)
9. Blade Runner
10. The African Queen
(Null must love Bushcemi!

yes Null loves Buscemi and independent films!
he is in 13 Moons, Trees Lounge (also directed), and Fargo.
I also love his movie Animal Factory (he directed and played a small role). I can't wait to see his latest, Interview. he stars and directs.

I'm with Guns. I'll probably remember something else that'll bump things.
And these are in the order I remember them, not in order of favorites.
Leon, The Professional
Fisher King
Fearless
Lord of the Rings trilogy (if I have to pick, I'd pick Fellowship)
Fear of a Black Hat
City of Lost Children
Rushmore
Joe Vs. The Volcano
V For Vendetta
Spirited Away

Fearless is great-I rank that up there with Mr. Jones. Joe v. Volcano??? Oh well, to each their own...

This is why lists like this are futile and silly. Heat, Tombstone, and Braveheart are all favorite movies of mine. None of the 10 films I listed suck, so what to do?
This is why I ignored the thread for the first couple of days.

I was going to post my top ten, but that went out the window when I realized Police Academy 8 might not get made, and even if it does get made, what'd I put down for 9 & 10?
