I agreed to go see this with the hubby today. I mean, hey, it had Clive Owen in it so what the hell.
An hour and a half of violence, gore and gratuitous sex. I loved it!
Clive Owen was solid (as usual, IMO) but Paul Giamatti was absolutely freakin' brilliant.

I didn't know Giamatti was in this, he's been steadily rising up on my list-loved him in The Illusionist. I read a great review of this by the damned Ebert..but I even liked Owen in Children of Men so I'll definately see it. (that scene looks like the male version of Kill Bill II

This is easily one of the best actions flicks I've ever seen.
It's got all the over the top cheezyness that Crank had, but a nice easy to follow plot that all the best actions flicks have got. All in all, it's really great.

Gratituitous sex?!? Why didn't anybody tell me this sooner?!?!!!
Yeah, I've liked Paul a lot since I first noticed him in Sideways. Cinderella Man was good, and he was good in it. Lady in the Water was not so good, but he was good in it.

i so want to see this. waiting for the dvd though. the Mist may be the next movie we see at the cineplex.
