That's not right Peter. True fans need to pre-order to give SRD real $ and rise FR up the bestseller list!

I'm not going to go the pre-order route. We don't have a bookstore where I live, but my wife will be in a nearby city that day and I'm having her pick up a copy for me. I should have my copy by early evening on Oct. 9th.

If Amazon would guarantee same day delivery, as they do with other books (ie Harry Potter) then I would most definitely pre-order.

Don't get Jenn started on pre-ordering Harry Potter through Amazon, and their "guaranteed" same day delivery...

Paugh! That grovelling fool Potter has no place here. (We need a Lord Foul emoticon.)

Wonder if the Covenant books have always been published in the fall. It was pure chance I picked up Lord Foul's Bane around this time of year, so now I always associate the coming of fall with reading of the Chronicles.

I'm not sure about the original trilogy, which was published all three books at the same time.
TOT and WGW were published in the spring though.

At Elohimfest, SRD mentioned that the release of FR marked 30 years to the month the release of LFB.

Don't know if anyone has seen this (it's probably posted in the FR forum). The "What Has Gone Before" from FR has been posted on SRD's site ;-)

While I haven't read the preview chapters, that I might read!

I remember when this started getting "real" for me when there were around 77 days left. I can't believe it's now less than 30! That doesn't seem so long ago. I'm glad I didn't fork out 100s for an ARC.
