i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

We all need a way to kill time.

BTW, Balon, you give away WAY to much by noticing these things WAY to quickly.

ok....five people have voted thus far.

at this rate, there are enough people
(including myself and one person who i know is ready to go
who hasn't voted yet) to continue...

its looking like we should make a go of it.

everyone who is interested in the group read of The Real Story, please START with SRD's essay in the back of the book.

we'll see if a few more people vote before i post any more.

I'm in either way.
I'll just pile it up on top of my homework I will get from school, which starts on the 18th.

um...yes. have ya not read it, Tennessee? where SRD talks about ideas and how he gets them? dudelet! run right out and buy a copy if you don't have one!!!!!! (i have a paperback pocketbook and its in the back, after the end of the story. might be called "afterword" or something, but it's basically an essay)

I found that essay to be more about the Chrons than about The Gap IIRC.

There needs to be an option for: start this week, but then take a break for a month after FR has been released.

I tried to look through the chapters to pick one. Yes, some are very short. At this rate, we'll cover the first 10 pages or so in a month or more!

Okay, so forget the idea about taking a FR break. This should be fairly easy to do both at the beginning.

But I am NOT rereading that damn essay at the end. No freakin' way. If someone is going to summarize it, I'll read that. But once was more than enough. It takes two ideas, joined together in an interesting way, for his projects to really take off. Fine. I got it. That's all I need to know. :)

Are we doing the entire Gap, or just The Real Story?

Do you want how it seems to be working out, or what the plan is? :D
(I think the plan is to barely start RS, and then read FR for a while, and then finish RS. But FR is only 13 days away and we haven't assigned chapters yet...)

i've never done this before and it looks like you have enough people to read the chapters but i would like to participate. it sounds like it would be fun to read and talk about the book.
