As the biggest Iron Man fan of all time I have to say I'm nearly, dare I say, "orgasmic" over this trailer. Giggity Giggity Goo!

First of all, I have to say ... good choice in music.
RDJ seems to be doing a great job in not being RDJ, if you know what I mean. The guy almost seems to be channeling Billy Bob Thornton. So far, it looks cool.
I'm rather disappointed in the 'final' Iron Man. Sure, the flying around stuff is cool. But my nit is that they made him too SMALL. It's so obvious that there's no way a human being can be in that suit. The movie would have a lot more gravitas if Iron Man was built larger -- it would convey much more strength. The thing looks too much like C-3PO, more like it's built for ballet than it is built for kicking A, shooting things, and still having feul to fly. No one will agree with me, I'm sure. But the first suit they show in the trailer -- that looked very plausible. And it was BIG.

The thing that impresses me most is the fact that RDJ seems to have NAILED Stark's brilliance, his arrogance/vulnerability, and his drive. Very cool!!

Yeah, RDJ is great in everything he does.
Re the suit being too small, I'm sure it
would need to be bigger irl. But it doesn't often look bigger than that in the comic, so I can live with it.

The suit on the comics isn't all that big. Compare the Perez/Layton era suit to the movie....not much of a diff at all.
I am far more excited by this movie than I expected to be. I always liked Iron Man...but this movie....WOW. It just FEELS great so far. It seems to be the antithesis of all my pre-release feelings about Daredevil.

I always liked Iron Man.
I don't like this trailer. Not that I have a problem with its contents--it just refuses to FRIGGIN' LOAD!!
But yeah: I've always found Iron Man compelling, as I like robotic/armored heroes, such as Mega Man and the soldiers from Starship Troopers.

Machine Man is also cool.
Ah, I hope Iron Man eventually fights Dr. Doom! Their first meeting in comics, when they went back to Camelot, was un-freakin'-real!

(I liked Thor when he was armoured.)
Quicktime? Bah, I uninstalled it.
Anyway, I'm tentatively looking forward to this movie.
Wayfriend has a valid point. I hope the CGI won't be too obvious...though that won't ruin things for me if the movie itself is good. But
if the movie is lame...then I'll have an excuse to harp on every little flaw I see. (*cough*
Superman Returns *cough*)

Iron Man's armor, with some exceptions, has always been form-fitting... heck, some classical models had "flexible" metal arms with no joints! I've never understood how could a metal sleeve capable of deflecting bullets still be flexible enough that the wearer could move the arm around so dexterously... then again, there were times in which Stark made fine electronic repairs with the armor's gloves on, which is also a bit difficult, in my book.
That said, as far as I know the Mark III armor was not CGI, at least not wholly - they tried to stay away from CGI as much as possible, and the Mark III armor
was worn by a human being (though I don't know if it was RDJ). At some point someone published a sneak amateurial video on Youtube where they showed a man wearing the armor getting accustomed to the movements...

Lord Foul: I think this is what is called a "teaser trailer". I submit to you that you were teased.
Xar: yes, it's not just that a human has to fit into it, but it also has to have space for batteries (or whatever), ammunition, weapons, rocket feul, etc. Ah, well, my belief is easily suspended.
