Happy Birthday Bilbo

Hey, I just realized the date. Surely an important date for fantasy lovers around the world (did that sound dirty to anyone else?). Anyway, it's also the anniversary of the first date I had with KiGirl, which we celebrate with as much enthusiasm as our wedding anniversary (hey, why not have two holidays for yourself?

). So maybe that explains why I'm reading something dirty into "fantasy lovers" . . . but I digress.
Anyway, it's always been a significant date for me. Right there around the beginning of Fall, my favorite season. The air begins to cool and I begin to feel exactly like Bilbo: wanderlust starts to stir within me and I need to get away, into the woods, for camping, hiking, and grilling steak in the middle of the forest.
It was on a cool night 11 years ago that I felt exactly this same stirring, and went out to a party where I had this premonition that I'd meet someone special. I did. And I ended up marrying her.
I love September 22nd.

Malik has gone to work. I am home with the boys, catching up on KW reading and I find this. And what a great thing to find!!! Made my day!

Well, I wouldn't say I'm "working," exactly. It's hard to call my job work, I enjoy it so much). And I'm in for a lunch break, at least.
Looking back through this forum, I realized that I did this same thing in 2005. I'm getting predictable in my soon-to-be-approaching middle age.

Thank you, Bhakti and Aliantha!
And Malik kept a lid on it for a long time b/c he was afraid someone would be mean to me b/c he is much more confrontational than I am and he didn't want anyone to hurt my feelings. I was surprised when he outed us.
