Happy Birthday Bilbo

Hey, I just realized the date. Surely an important date for fantasy lovers around the world (did that sound dirty to anyone else?). Anyway, it's also the anniversary of the first date I had with KiGirl, which we celebrate with as much enthusiasm as our wedding anniversary (hey, why not have two holidays for yourself? :) ). So maybe that explains why I'm reading something dirty into "fantasy lovers" . . . but I digress.

Anyway, it's always been a significant date for me. Right there around the beginning of Fall, my favorite season. The air begins to cool and I begin to feel exactly like Bilbo: wanderlust starts to stir within me and I need to get away, into the woods, for camping, hiking, and grilling steak in the middle of the forest.

It was on a cool night 11 years ago that I felt exactly this same stirring, and went out to a party where I had this premonition that I'd meet someone special. I did. And I ended up marrying her.

I love September 22nd.

Malik has gone to work. I am home with the boys, catching up on KW reading and I find this. And what a great thing to find!!! Made my day!

Well, I wouldn't say I'm "working," exactly. It's hard to call my job work, I enjoy it so much). And I'm in for a lunch break, at least.

Looking back through this forum, I realized that I did this same thing in 2005. I'm getting predictable in my soon-to-be-approaching middle age.

Thank you, Bhakti and Aliantha!

And Malik kept a lid on it for a long time b/c he was afraid someone would be mean to me b/c he is much more confrontational than I am and he didn't want anyone to hurt my feelings. I was surprised when he outed us.
