I've just caught my second 'Tribe' and it is so good. It's a series of documentary-type programmes by the BBC about this guy Bruce Parry going to live with various tribes around the world.

The first one I saw was at Anuta, one of the Solomon Islands in the Pacific, one of the most isolated places on earth. Tonight was with the Layap (?) people in Bhutan.

It's hard to describe. Very 'feel-good', but not in a tacky way. It's amazing seeing the traditions, and how life in the modern world has altered them. For example, in Bhutan this tribe now search the Himalayan steppes(?) for this tiny fungus that grows out of dead caterpillars, that is now in demand for Chinese medicine. They were searching on their hands and knees in driving snow looking for these tiny things under the heather et al, all for about 10p a go. then back in the tent they brew some up with yak butter and whiskey - good for the bladder apparently, and various aches and pains!

If you get a chance, check this show out.
