Will work for...

... a tablet. No, not a pill; an artists' tablet for the PC.

Here's the deal: I find myself in serious need of said tablet; and, while they're really expensive here, they are available at pretty low prices in the U.S. So - I'm looking for someone who needs design work done, and can send a tablet in return. It's very much a win/win deal.

What I'm offering: any type of graphic design; web or multimedia design. This is what I do for a living, and I'm willing to send a portfolio of examples of my work to anyone interested.

If that's you, please pm me.

Edge, please expand! I'm not sure what you want or what kind of money you're talking about.

I have no need for any kind of graphic design but I would think that after the time and effort you have put in your Edgetars we could pitch in to help. I'm willing!

How bout it Watchers? Can we get this man a tablet?

You people are so kind! :D

I really appreciate that - as it happens, someone has already contacted me and arranged to send one.

Out of interest: an artists' tablet allows you to draw onto the computer using a 'stylus', so it's much like using a pen and paper. You draw on the tablet with the stylus and see your 'pencil-strokes' appear on screen.

They cost hundreds of bucks here, but in the States can be had for less than $50.

So, it's something like the NDS duel screen thingy, or a palm pilot attachment, or something like that? But I assume it's a little bigger?

Well, good that you're gonna get it :)

They come in different sizes, the most common is 6" x 8". It looks just like a mousepad and a pen, really.

And yeah, I'm pretty excited.

The cheapest ones are just barely in the hundreds... but yeah, thousands is more accurate. :?

Luci - they asked me not to say - sorry. And yeah, I love this place!

And for the record: if anyone ever does need any design work done, give me a shout. The exchange rates being what they are, it would extremely beneficial on both sides. :D

Similar - but different make, and 8 x 6 size.

I don't think that one would fit on my desk!
