No, I'm not done with FR yet, but I felt compelled to join this forum (even daring spoilers from glancing at subjects) for two reasons.

1. I'll want to post and read here within milliseconds of finishing (yay as evidenced verilly even before that.)
2. I just finished page 266 (American version) last night. That has got to be one of the highlights of American literature, and should be forever known as page 266.

I'll be back in a week or two when I'm done with this amazing novel.

Oh yes, that whole scene... my god, it was powerful, wasn't it? Probably the most powerful scene in the book (besides the ending and a certain battle everyone has been talking about.) Again, it was one of those times I got out of my chair and started acting like a teenager, jumping around and yelling out the f-word!

My partner thought I was nuts while reading this book! But I couldn't help it. SRD, from start to finish, has totally out-done himself this time; he's moved me to tears and laughter, to horror and awe and everything in between like no other author has in a long time. FR will definitely be remembered as a classic in fantasy literature.

It's the first page of chapter 12 of the first part of the book -- right after Linden drinks the Earthblood and says, "Show me the truth!". "Covenant" is revealed to be Roger.

Somebody else in this area ref'ed that area. I answered it with a bit of laughter.

I love that part.. esp when Linden gets indignate and cuts loose.

/As I see it now:

Roger and the croyel sees a very angry Linden!!!
Croyel: Hey Rog!!!
Roger: Yea, whatdo yo want?
Croyel: She's pissed and we're in trouble!
Roger: Exit stage right!!!
Croyel: Just remember I just have to outrun you.
