Comet Holmes!!

...hey, during the 7 th inning stretch,,go outside, with binoculars, face north/ north east,,find the V of Cassiopeia , stretch out your arm,, put your pinky finger on the most east star of the V and almost straight down stretch out your hand,, about where your thumb is ,,is located Comet Holmes,,scan the area with Binocular and you Will come across a blob,, a brite blob,,Thats Comet Holmes which just exploded into visibilty in the last 24 hours,,If the Moon wasn't so brite you could see the comet with the naked eye,,soon the moon will rising after you can see the comet , Stay tuned for this one,,It could get even better!

Good call! I'll keep my eyes out for this one. I've got a nice pair of 10X50 binoculars, and a telescope that is quite nice.

I saw it! Naked eye visibility. It looks like a fuzzy star. Kind of like the nebula in Orion's belt, except bigger. In binoculars, it's quite a sight. I'll set up my telescope tomorrow--it's supposed to be warmer.

Apparently, it's a little bigger than Jupiter right now. Wow! Thanks for the heads-up, Lurch.

M...Yea!,,I just took a look thru the binocs..Its definitly bigger than when I first looked at it,,Unfortunately the same clouds I like to photograph during sunsets have been covering the comet these last few days..What a site tho. Its on its way back out to the outer reaches but could be visible for the next two years..!!!
