Never Down

Very intense, indie, emotional film about a guy (Robert La Sardo) who, virtually, has tatooed Dante's Inferno on himself. Great artist, great spirit...reminds me of Maynard of TOOL for some reason (thought Prison Sex should have been played in there somewhere). Reminds me of The Salton Sea and Mr. Brooks...why Kurt Vonnegut was in there, I don't know...great images of Coney Island>film noir 101. If I were Rico I'd say, 'Life sucks..."

Vonnegut's character does play a significant purpose, but almost too subtle to be of much use. Interesting that this is the last thing he did before he died. LaSardo was in Training Day, Chicago Hope and Nip/Tuck and the director is John Oppel.
