I think it may be impossible, or maybe just infeasible, but I wanted to say it anyway.

I don't think it is either impossible or infeasible... since we had them once, and to the best of my knowledge there are a whole bunch of money mods floating around the PHPBB community.

I don't think we need them, though.

Edit: if we do get them back, I demand my status as a WGD multi millionaire be reinstated!

But...I've always wanted WGDs, as they disappeared shortly after I joined the Watch.

I don't even remotely expect to get it back but I just want it to be know that at one time, after playing all those casino games on and off for a month, I was right on the verge of 50% of the Bank total!!
If I had ever reached 51% the Watch would have been mine!

I was always surprised at the size of my WGD bank account -- and inevitably, by the time I got wind that there was more in the store to buy, most of the good stuff was gone. So -- meh.

Why? What are we going to do with them????

(aTOMic's board has an interesting system...karma. Anybody can exalt or smite a post you make, depending on their opinion of it, increasing or decreasing your karma. Not saying implement that, just that WGD doesn't automatically mean there has to be a shop.

Well, personally, I liked the shop, because I had too much fun making new icons and item descriptions. Heh.

Plus, I still have a hundred of those icons lying around, just waiting to be used, heh.

Although if we ever bring it back, I would probably want to revamp the whole system. Make it more fair.

However, the last I remember, the main reason we had to get rid of it was because of the security (aka hacker) problem.

So I think any WGD/shop system is dependant on finding a secure mod.

And I am always open to adding other new mods. I've just been too busy to play around with them. You all can take some initiative too, ya know. Heh.-jay

No, I'm saying that you can volunteer to write a hack/mod for phpbb that will create the entire WGD and shop system from scratch as well as be 100% secure and safe from hackers. Heh.-jay
