Thanks Sgt. I've restored a couple of italicised bits that I just realised were lost in the transfer from MS Word.
I think I'm going to also post this in the Writers' Circle, so when you feel up to commenting, feel free to do it in whichever thread you prefer.

I read it pretty much as soon as you posted it. Why didn't I reply? I didn't know what to say.
I liked it. That's all I really had to say and I found it awkward to say just that.
