What the heck does this prefix mean?

Is it "para-"? Or "that which surpasses"? Or maybe "vaguely connected to, in ways that defy understanding while evoking images of ancient sumerian cities?"

Or, maybe it's "(o)ur-", hehe.

Maybe it means one who is a Lord/Vile/whatever, but achieved it through non-traditional means.

I had originally believed it to mean pertaining the similarities of its ancestors or of its leaders. However, Sherlock's definition is more applicable.

In the Gradual Interview was wrote:
  • Considering my background, it's a bit peculiar that I have in some sense misused the "ur-". Among English majors--at least of my generation--"ur-" denotes "original," but it connotes "hypothetical." It refers to an original which we believe to exist, but which we do not possess. I twisted that quite a bit with "ur-viles" and "ur-Lord," trying to suggest an artificial and possibly corrupt relationship.

You want to apologise? How about you mend the pieces of my broken hearts?

[edit] I apologise. That was harsh. I shouldn't set people impossible tasks.

Just bring me either a) a black lotus, b) mend ONE of my broken hearts, or c) the head of Barry Bostwick.

I'll also need the head of Susan Sarandon. I have this daydream about using their severed heads like puppets and walking around making the puppets say, "ASSHOLE! SLUT! ASSHOLE! SLUT!"
