Was Variol the first High-Lord of the New Lords?

I have been re-reading LFB recently and have just had this thought.
On pg. 50 of LFB, Covenant asks Lena when the Desolation happened;
" 'I do not know,' she replied soberly. 'But the people of the South Plains came back across the mountains from the bare wastes twelve generations past.' "
So if we say that one generation equals 30 years, as far as Lena is aware it has been 360 years since people have returned to the Land.
We also know that it was not until some of the new arrivals found Seareach again that the Giants became aware that people were returned to the Land, to which they went about telling people about RoD and finally presenting the First ward to those that were to become the first of the New Lords.
That being so, is it not possible that Variol was amongst this first intake and became the first High-Lord.
We also know that people dealing with Earthpower age at a far slower rate than ordinary people.
Any comments graciously recieved.
