...had to look up the lyrics...
No time for flight, a blinding light
And nothing but a void, forever night
...hmmm...

8O WOW!

I was watching Later...with Jools Holland earlier (sort of music magazine show) and there was a band called Yeasayer on who really really impressed me. Then they came back on and did this little number.....

www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwUctgGIZJQ

Chorus:
Get in the sunrise
get in the sunrise
(and so on)

Anyway, this is the one i was going to post, for either Nor Yekkith or Etzlicoatl maybe

www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFrrNhsGZp4
Down in amongst the streets tonight
Books will burn, people laugh and cry in their turmoil
(turmoil turns rejoiceful)
Shed your fears and lose your guilt
Tonight we burn responsibility in the fire
We’ll watch the flames grow higher!
But if you get too burnt, you can’t come back home

And as I was standing by the edge
I could see the faces of those led pissing theirselves laughing
(and the flames grew)
Their mad eyes buldged their flushed faces said
The weak get crushed as the strong grow stronger

We feast on flesh and drink on blood
Live by fear and dispise love in a crises
(what with today’s high prices)
Bring some paper and bring some wood
Bring what’s left of all your love for the fire
We’ll watch the flames grow higher!
But if you get too burnt - you can’t come back home

And as I was standing by the edge
I could see the faces of those led pissing theirselves laughing
(and the flames grew)
Their mad eyes buldged their flushed faces said
The weak get crushed as the strong grow stronger

In the funeral pyre
We’ll watch the flames grow higher
But if you get too burnt - you can’t come back home
(well I feel so old, when I feel so young
Well I just can’t grow up to meet the demands)
Funeral Pyre

Sorry Stone.
That strikes me as more appropriate for Borderlands...

In the spirit of Stone's above post, I guess you could say this might work for Nor Yekith or Eztlicoatl:

Run Like Hell

The lyrics don't exactly fit, though the imagery and intent probably does. And, before Menolly says it, this could probably work even better for the LSF.

...ah-hem...

Before Dorian comes steaming in here ready to tear my head off, I better qualify that...

Based on what little I've heard of the LSF...ayup.

Yet another one for Eztlicoatl, L-rd of the Sun and Fire…
(yes…GHIII has taken over this household, although this is the original artists video)

Through the Fire and Flames

On a cold winter morning, in the time before the light,
In flames of death's eternal reign, we ride towards the fight.
When the darkness has fallen down, and the times are tough all right.
The sound of evil laughter falls around the world tonight.

Fighting hard, fighting on for the steel, through the wastelands evermore,
The scattered souls will feel the hell, bodies wasted on the shore.
On the blackest plains in Hell's domain, we watch them as they go,
Through fire and pain, and once again we know...

So now we're flying we're free, we're free before the thunderstorm,
On towards the wilderness, our quest carries on.
Far beyond the sundown, far beyond the moonlight,
Deep inside our hearts and all our souls...

So far away we wait for the day,
For the lives all so wasted and gone;
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days-
Through the fire and the flames we carry on!

As the red day is dawning, and the lightning cracks the sky,
They'll raise their hands to the heavens above with resentment in their eyes.

Running back through the midmorning light, there's a burning in my heart;
We're banished from a time in a fallen land, to a life beyond the stars.

In your darkest dreams see to believe, our destiny is time,
And endlessly we'll all be free tonight...!

And on the wings of a dream, so far beyond reality;
All alone in desperation, now the time has gone.
Lost inside you'll never find, lost within my own mind,
Day after day this misery must go on!

So far away we wait for the day,
For the lives all so wasted and gone,
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days,
Through the fire and the flames we carry on!

Now here we stand with their blood on our hands,
We fought so hard now can we understand
Ill break the seal of this curse if i possibly can
For freedom of every man!

So far away we wait for the day,
For the lives all so wasted and gone,
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days,
Through the fire and the flames we carry on!

Much better than Petty. Thanks Stone!!

...yeah, yeah, living in Gator Town, with my son attending Petty's high school, has made me sick to death of him, especially with him campaigning here for his cousin last year, who is now our county sheriff...

Besides...I love The Kinks. Preservation Acts I & 2 being my favorite by them.

Well, that's better than Lola...I'll give you that. So it really is possible to get Petty Overload? That's bad news...

LOL. I like Lola too.
As long as it's "cherry cola," not "Coca-cola." ;)

It is for me, but I was never much of a fan to begin with.
During his cousin's campaign, you couldn't escape him for the political ads he did for her. At least three an hour were shown on the local stations for months.

I could see that...I get a little squirmy when entertainment becomes political. You can imagine I'm loving this year.
Weird Al did a great cover of Lola, btw...

There seems to be some Kinks fans about, so...

For Zephyr, their best song-

(I notice for TOTP he substitutes 'buggin' )

And for an Carraig, Deva, Rothmog, Dagon, and Koel, deluded fools....
