Tomorrow, Wednesday 19th December 2007, will see the probably most important game release of 2007 for anyone who owned or played a Commodore Amiga in the mid-90s.

Ladies and gentlmen, I give you Sensible World of Soccer on Xbox Live Arcade!

Originating in the heart of the golden era of British video games, alongside such luminaries as Cannon Fodder and Worms, SWOS is still the most playable football game ever made.

I can't wait to play it again, especially with the online multiplayer they've added. I got absolutely destroyed when I tried to play Speedball 2 online, but I'm hoping I'll at least be competitive at SWOS.

...and it's broken on arrival. It appears that somebody put an early development copy on XBL instead of the finished version. The game's online code was broken and there were a number of other minor bugs. It was pulled at about 11am, so I didn't even get to download it and play the single player.

I just hope it's out before Christmas, I'd arranged a tournament with my friends back home!
