Has anyone else gotten a copy of that yet?

I'm trying to figure out what exactly it is that
Covenant's holding. It looks like a disk, but I'm
blanking on any kind of disk in the Second
Chronicles. Anyone have a clue?

I bought a copy of the Second Chronicles thru SFBC and Ilium too. I have been trying to figure out just what that disk was myself. I got no idea. Linden's looking pretty good too...

I saw a picture of the cover. I was wondering about that disc myself, I can't seem to place it in the text...

I just went and looked at it on the sfbc website. It's odd. The only thing I can think of, is stone, For the others to stand on while the sunbane rises. But why Covenant would be holding up in the air like some offering to the Gods is beyond me.

Looks like another case of those doing cover art that haven't read the books they are doing the art for...

I just got the book last week, still trying to figure out what the heck he is holding. Got a new copy of the First Chronicles too, I'm assuming the montsers on that cover are Cavewights? I picked up all 3 copies of Lords of the Rings, The Two set of Chronicles, and 3 Elric books for $22.

I sure wish I knew what the heck you folks were talking about! sfbc.com seems to require me to be a member before I can look at anything?

I still say it's just a hunk of stone to ward against the Sunbane...can't think of what else it would be...

Well, it sure doesn't jar my memory any. But then, since joining the Watch, I've been saddened - nearly appalled - at how much I've forgotten about TCTC. Since I don't see Sunder or anyone else, maybe it's from early on.

Well, I can't remember any time when he held up a disk stone thing to the sky. I even went combing thru TWL and WGW again. Nothing.

It's just a case of people doing cover art that haven't read the book.

I been looking for the Earthsea books...and I see a bunch of different ones...which ones should I start with?

I would also like to know which one to read first of GRRM...heard alot of great things about his work too.
