Like the Martians are going to let that happen.
It will "mysteriously" disappear like all the Earth probes that get too close to areas where the Martians don't want us to see.

I think the martians are trying to call in air support to destroy those pesky rovers that wont die!!!

It will be really cool to see a celestial event from the Earth, assuming the kinetic energy of the impact is high enough.
Maybe there will be enough material ejected to get some more Martian meteorites on Antarctica...
I wonder what the range of near misses is that might deflect the asteroid into Earth orbit. I would be willing to bet it's less than a 1 in 100,000 chance of an Earth impact.

The impact would likely create a planetwide dust storm. Similar to the one that erased all crude signs of ancient Martian civilization prior to the Viking missions. Although crude, this would certainly occlude the solar panels on those pesky rovers...

guss it wont happen. saw on the news they downgraded it to 1 chance in hell.
