Is anyone here a blogger?

When editing my homepage last night I noticed that my ISP now offers free blogs (weblogs) along with the free webpages...I was wondering if anyone here is a blogger, and if so, have you found it to be more of a positive or negative experience? 
I have been sending out a weekly (well, theoretically it is weekly, in practice it is weekly half the time and biweekly or so the other half) newsletter email to relatives and old family friends for a couple of years now. I was wondering if it might save time to have a blog, and just tell them to look at it every so often if they want to see what's going on with us...
