For a while now everytime I get online someone with an AOL/AIM screen name of Kink58234 has been trying to talk to me...is that someone here? I don't like accepting IM conversations when I have no clue as to who the person might be, so I have declined him/her...but they are so persistant I have begun to wonder if it is someone that I know, but not by that name?

And in chat, you said don't get the request to chat whenever you're on AIM, but only when you're online there and here or the Hangar?

But if someone put you on their Buddy List, then they'd know you were online, regardless of what site you are on, or if you're not on any site at all. I'm wondering if you only get approached by this person on AIM when you're at one of these sites. Maybe someone got your AIM nick from here, but doesn't actually hang out here any longer.

Just trying to narrow it all down as much as possible.

Right before work I finally figured out how to block anyone not on my buddy list from getting through to me...so whomever Kink is, he or she will not be able to approach me anymore...or at least until he or she lets me know whom he or she is...

Well, that applies to you Duchess this way: Of the millions of ID's on the web, why would a maniac pic you to chat to? There is a far greater chance it is someone you love. SO PICK UP THE PHONE! At worst it's some punk kidd, at best a someone who loves you, so chat to em and find out!

so many folks want to chat on msn .. like i mean folk I dont know .. and want to sell me stuff .. or have me go to their porno sites ..

i always say hi first to find out what their deal is .. and if its one of these kind of people .. i just tell 'em .. sorry i'm not interested .. lol

then ignore them .. but they rarely want to chat again

and they dont happen that often ..

like morgage man .. sexy_susan .. are dead give aways of what their about usually

i've closed the message window on a couple of posters here too from time to time .. not knowing who they were .. lol .. caam i think once said hi .. and i didnt recognise the msn nic .. and ignored her .. but was later surprised to find it was her

so you do never know .. i guess unless you find out .. but if they are eager to chat to you .. and above board .. surely they'd pm you and let you know .. if they were from here ..

When I left for a period last year, you added me to msn; we were never on at the same time though. Not surprising really, given the twelve-hour or so time difference

I believe the little icons below can reach me. The only problem is that I rarely have Trillian on, and even then, I usually don't chat much.

We have msn but I cant seem to be able to do the chat thing with it....it just sits there useless twiddling its thumbs.

But if its anything like icq or yahoo well then I wont bother...i'm invisible most of the time there cos of the wierdos and wackos.
