What an awesome book! 8O Absolutely loved it! Though, imo, Dune is still superior. I loved Asimov's outline of Foundation's history...really great.

I got a recommendations for "The Gods Themselves" from someone recently. Have anybody read it?

I have read it and have still hung on to it (rare 4 me...). It's a short yet VERY enjoyable book. The telepathic "universal" speak is truly mindblowing! 8O

I totally love Foundation. I think it's great the way Asimov picked up and finished the series decades later. I read where SRD singled it out as what not to do, and maybe Asimovs' motivation was money, but I disagree with SRD on this one and really enjoyed the way Foundation was tied in with the Robot novels and brought back to where it all begins. (Earth)
A wonderful story! Thanks Isaac!
(If any one wants to read the robot novels that ultimately have to do with Foundation, read Caves of Steel & The Naked Sun. Others fit in but these are the essentials.) :)

It has a special place in my heart. The first SF I read many years ago...

I'm really, really hoping that I'll get to see a Foundation movie before too long. IMO, it should be the next great trilogy tackled (even though there are about 7 Foundation books) now that LOTR is almost wrapped up.
I'd also like to see the Covenant trilogy done, as well as "Enders Game", but Foundation is first. There must be something about the times that Tolkein and Asimov grew up and wrote in; I just tend to like their characters more than most of "todays" writers.

Now that "I-Robot" is being filmed, that paves the groundwork for more Asimov movies. "Foundation". Wahoo.:-)
