to both THOOLAH and Linden's Army, I say - MEH!

After much consideration, and especially because it is MLK day, I am renouncing my membership in Linden's army. I do this not because my feelings for Linden have changed in any way; rather, I am opposed to the polarization intrinsic to the THOOLAH v. Linden's Army bi-partisan system. It is a sham to have to love her OR hate her. What if she just IS - can a neutral not also belong to a witty clique?

Thus I put forth the concept of MEH - Moderates Easing Hindrances. The moderate approach is the most sensible. To hate the protagonist of an author whose website you post to so frequently seems masochistic - even if THOOLAH is tongue-in-cheek.
However, I also do not enjoy being forced to defend all the actions of a character that took me so long to warm up to. There is some bite to the epithet of 'The Queen of Inaction' - though that mantle seems to have now been handed down to Pahni in the LC.

You don't have to love her or hate her. Linden's Army would not have been founded if not necessary as an antidote to the THOOLAH poison - and both are equally misguided.

So let us set down the snarky banners and banter. Let us set the pro/anti Linden rhetoric aside. Let us denounce those who would polarize us with needless partisan demagoguery when the very Arch of Time is at stake! Let us unite behind Linden's intent, like or dislike, with a cry of MEH! MEH! MEH!

What's the point in taking the middle of the road in this case? Even if the whole hate-love thing is mainly for fun.
That Linden is able to provoke such polarized feelings shows how well-drawn character she is...

Yes, but why not recognize her polarizing nature without using it as an excuse for diatribal warfare? Acknowledge the controversy, support/hamstring both sides equally, and emphasize it all with a MEH!
