So I'm making my daily rounds, and I find this.....Stallone prepping Cliffhanger 2?.
Now then.
I enjoyed Rocky Balboa a lot. I thought Rambo was fantastic, and probably deserves Sly an Oscar nomination for either writing or directing. Hell, I really enjoyed the first Cliffhanger 15 years ago. I enjoyed it enough to buy the LaserDisc.
But 62 year old Sly making a sequel? I dunno. One could argue, quite reasonably, that there were deep characters and themes in both the Rocky Balboa and John Rambo films. But does anyone really use Gabe Walker as an archetype?
Don't get me wrong, Stallone's on a roll, and based on that, I'll go see anything he does now (with the possible exception of Judge Dredd 2). But was Cliffhanger really begging for a sequel?

But I love the original Rocky. And First Blood. I never saw Cliffhanger.

I loved "Rocky Balboa," I thought it a fitting end to the series. In fact, I only acknowledge 3 of the Rocky movies, "Rocky," "Rocky II" and "Balboa."
