Woo-hoo! If you had told me 5 years ago, that I would be starting this post, I would've fell out of my chair from laughter, but yet it's true! UT beat Memphis (aka Tiger High) Saturday night to take over the #1 spot in the polls.

GO VOLS!

Congrats dlb.

UF's in a rebuilding year. As long as an SEC team makes a run for it, I'm happy.

I'll even promise to post the last two words in your post, in that horrid color, if UF gets eliminated.

Deal?

...knowing in the reverse situation, the same intent will never be reciprocated...

...but that's OK, cause GATORS are just more awesome than Vols. ;)

So much for my celebration - TN was upset by #18 Vandy last night, 72-69. Sometimes, I freakin' hate the SEC..... ;)

Vanderbilt just knocked 'em off...

*nodding*

That's why I don't put much stock in being #1 in the polls until the end of the season, for any sport. As long as my teams are ranked high enough to get to post-season play.

Dlb... congrats on a great team and all you got going on in Tenn... We all know the real season is coming! :) And you guys look good! ;)

Thanks, Dromond. TN dropped to #4 in this week's poll, but we're well positioned to make a great run in the SEC and NCAA tourneys.

...don't I know it...

But, it's only karma.
After all, I had two years in a row of being able to do it to you.

In other matters, the local news had a blurb about that talk by Pearl I PMd you about. I've been searching for it online to send a link to you, but so far no go.

Yes indeed. Not many players could return to a game in which she dislocated her shoulder not once but twice and end up with 26 points. Team doctors have cleared her to play Tuesday night against LSU.

Lady Vols beat LSU in a squeaker last night, and will now face Stanford in the championship.

BTW - I love it when UConn loses.
