In all fairness, Stevie, the name 'Liete' did not occur to me until reading your response. That triggered the ah-ha moment of...I'll not say more, in case someone wants to craft a future question.

As is my habit, I'm going to tug on loose threads left by prior questions...

When Nick put Liete in command of Captain's Fancy, what was she supposed to accomplish? What did she do instead, and why?

Not looking for the whole complicated story, just the central facts of what his orders to her were and what / why the actual outcomes were.

She kamikaze’d Calm Horizons (was it Calm Horizons - I can’t remember now…) to save Nick.

The original reason Nick put her in charge I also can’t perfectly recall, but I’ll guess that it was he knew she would obey all his instructions?

Close enough on the eventual outcome. Tranquil Hegemony rather than Calm Horizons, the latter of which survives into the following two books.

Need a bit more specificity on what orders Nick gives Liete and expects her to follow. Why is Captain's Fancy not still docked at Billingate?
