The closest thread I could find to this theme was 100 lamest songs ever. Now that I posted the Sissy Boys '80s songs I realize my #1 Waiting room to Hell song is Tainted Love by Soft Cell-played continuously it would fry my mind in no time!

"True" by Spandau Ballet - my most hated song.

Isn't the urban myth about that song is that it's supposed to be a subliminal tribute to Hitler? (along with the group's name, of course) :?

I've never heard that, but I'd bet that Hitler would be offended if it were true. ;)

'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston.

It's an annoying enough song whoever sings it, but add Whitney's nails-on-a-blackboard voice and you've got something that makes me want to kick puppies to death.

In fact Null coined the name of this thread, in 100 Lamest Songs he wrote:any song by Boston could make the list. a souless band. the music played in hell's waiting room
but what's the Boston song that really gets you? More Than a Feeling does it for me. (see we're putting together a soundtrack here  )

Incidentally, don't revile Soft Cell's version of Tainted Love until you've heard the Pussycat Dolls' one...

So, so many songs deserve this.

Will to Power's mash-up of Freebird & whatever else it was.

Anything by Celene Dion.

60% (easily) of the "college radio" stuff from the late '80s.

Something about "Sweet Child o' mine" makes me want to tear my eardrums out. However "More Than a Feeling" literally induces vomiting every time I hear it. (GOD BOSTON IS FRIGGING LAME!!!)

But, for some reason I like "The Heat of the Moment". Go fig.

Absolutely. I never understood the appeal of this song.

I think this song would make St. Francis of Assisi kick puppies to death. But that's my opinion. Yeah, I'd place this #1.

And Danlo, I have to agree about Tainted Love. I never used to mind this until I went to one too many 80's nights at dance clubs. It seems like every single 80's night seemed to play this frickin' song, and so it is too long and too monotonous and repetitive. I can't bear it any more.

For individual song, it would be Whitney, but if there is actual variety in Hell, then I'd be stuck with Christmas songs as well. Yet another case of "alright already...why do we have to hear these same songs over and over again each year for 2 solid months (rapidly approaching 3 now)? Does nobody have any imagination anymore?"
