dlb is booking flights and hotels so he's a sure thing as far as I know. Creator is already booked too. Bloodguard Bob is a sure thing too and will probably host an event at his place as well. On the agenda is putting together a party with some of the FBH peops including Julie, Heatherly, Steve aka Thomas Covenant, Terry aka Karotica, Atrium, Retarded Ranyhyn, Woman with severed hand, David aka Man in Ochre Robe, King's Henchman, Hot Teenage Girl, and Canaan aka Uncle Seabutter (guest expert) and the Griffin. I'm also pretty sure we can lure Captain Sorus to our party. I'm so excited to be able to help make your visit ROCK, Sea. This is gonna be so much fun.

:( That's okay...we'll have fun in Denver too.... ;)

I'm arriving by Amtrak at 7:15am on Friday the 20th. Staying at the aforementioned Chatfield State Park, southwest of the city.

I'm sure Cag will come up with some stuff for us to do. But the state park appears to offer hiking, boating, swimming, etc., etc. And goodness knows there are plenty of bars in LoDo....

I'm not going home 'til Monday afternoon the 23rd (flying Frontier -- wish me luck!). But don't worry about me -- I can find lots to do in Denver on my own. ;)

(I *did* think about driving. But it would cost more for gas and hotels than it will to do it this way. Sad....)

I shall update the thread a little later in the day once my head stops throbbing!!

I'll start looking for events, and we'll see about things. If it wasn't a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive to some hot springs where I have a heap of credit for, I'd suggest that. Hell, I'll suggest it anyway. But we'll have to be quick, as it books up quickly for the cabins. If anything, and we feel like enjoying a lovely drive through the mountains, we can go for the day and soak and then come back after. But if any feel interested, we could try for Saturday night there. Does that sound good to anyone?

ALLLLLLLRRRRIIIIGGGHHHHTTTEEEE!

The hot springs sound interesting though, Cag. Is there a website to look at for details? But I'll have to talk to Louise since she'll be doing all the driving and might not wanna drive another 3 hours on top of all the driving she'll be doin'

I'm thinking that I would fly in Thursday night (the 12th) or Friday morning (the 13th!!!!) depending on which one would be more favorable for prices. I'd be departing some time on Sunday (the 15th) so I can catch up with my friend and the road trip in the Southeast. I'll let everyone know as soon as I buy my ticket (that will make it official!).

By the way. . . do we have any special plans to celebrate Friday the 13th? 8O

Oooooh, hot springs! Sounds like fun! (As long it's *not* clothing optional -- I'm with Luci on that....)

I'm planning to rent a car, so if Louise doesn't want to drive to the springs, I can help out. And I assume danlo's driving up from ABQ...?

It is clothing optional after sunset. You don't have to be naked, as there are always people with suits on, but I have to admit that this is the first place I have been publically unclothed, and felt very comfortable. And honestly, unless it is a full moon, you don't tend to see anything anyway.

Here's the website.

But yeah, I thought I'd just throw it out there as a possibility, but figured an extra 2 1/2 hour tacked on to the trip probably wasn't anything you folks would want to do, but it really is a fun place, and I do need to use up the $800.00 credit I have there, so I thought I'd offer. It really is a pretty drive and beautiful place to be, and soaking is so damn relaxing.

But I'm also not even sure if I could get a cabin right now for then anyway, but I'll be happy to give them a ring if there is interest.

To be honest, I have a lot of body modesty myself, and am far removed from being a nudist. And hell, during the day I'm more embarrased about being seen in a swimsuit in full sunlight.

It is a natural hot springs, and oh so comfortable.

Chancy. Very chancy. :(

Ladies, are you driving back to San Francisco? If so, Steamboat Springs would be sorta-kinda on your way back. Sorta-kinda. You could just plan to leave from there on Sunday.

Ok, just to clarify: if we go I'm not going naked! I wouldn't put anyone through that! ...unless I got too drunk. ;)

I shall converse with Louise, Caggy, and then you can at least check out the availability of cabins. But I do have to start keeping costs down a bit (so it depends on how much it will cost us).

Well, like I said, earlier, I have a lot of credit with these folks that I need to use up. So this won't cost you a thing.

As for getting naked, nobody there forces your clothes off. And you don't feel like a killjoy by keeping them on either. It really is your choice. I tend to lose my inhibitions soaking, so I usually keep my suit on for a while, and drop as I feel comfortable. I don't know if I would with you folks, especially if everyone else is uncomfortable with it. I have been with people that don't, and people that do, so it makes me no difference. And again, it is only allowed after dark, and believe me, that place gets pretty dark. You can generally see just the people around you, especially if it is cold and the steam is coming up. Unless it is a full moon, which does get surprisingly bright.

But yeah, I didn't originally bring it up because we definitely have to commit to doing so before okaying the cabin(s). The owners are jerks, which is why I have credit instead of money back. So if anybody has any reservations, I'll be happy to drop it and we can enjoy Denver nightlife (which I don't have credit for) and get a little mountain visiting in as well. Idaho Springs is a nice little mountain town not far away (maybe 30 minutes or so) that we could go play at. They have hot springs there too if we really wanna, but it's a lot more fakey and hot-tubby than what Strawberry is like. And we could easily find a nice hike if anybody is game.

Or we can just get drunk and play Rock Band, which is much more my speed.
