Noob Q about bought items not showing

so... I bought an item, and it doesn't show. What did I do wrong?

You need to go into your items page (link beside your posts, in your profile, or among the links at the top of your page), place a check in the first column beside the ones you want to display (up to three), then click "Set Thread Items".

So I bought Harold (my rubber duck) a companion for these long winter nights, but he hasn't showed up. Can I only show one of each item on the board even if I own two?

Pretty sure that's the case. Especially if you've set it to show and it still doesn't.
