I just listened to it myself and its what i expected...Great! , the fact that your a fan makes it even better. I think with mp3 players being so convenient now it could create a wave of audio book lovers, and also im glad its on .mp3... no conversion necessary for my mp3 player. :)

Syl wrote:The first chapter's almost enough to make me buy an audio book. To this day, the only one I've been able to get through was Capote's In Cold Blood (don't know who the narrator was). Scott sounds like Sideshow Bob minus the ham factor. ;)

I really enjoyed the pacing. The cadence is very suited to how it 'sounds' in my head. The accent (not sure that's the right word... inflection, perhaps) is just enough to maintain interest, never taking away from the story itself.
Heh heh. Sorry, I've been away, trying to get the audiobooks up on the site, and I haven't paid attention to this thread in a bit, but I gotta ask... was this an inside joke? I only ask 'cuz I was the guy who read Capote's IN COLD BLOOD. Okay, maybe I just stated the obvious and am explaining too much, but I'm so exhausted getting FATAL REVENANT up that I'm loopy. :? I guess whether it was an inside joke or not I should say thanks, either way, glad you liked that book.

Oh, and by the way... FATAL REVENANT is finally available. If you log on to my site and don't see it, just click on any of the BUY LORD FOUL'S BANE icons and it'll take you to the online store, and both books are listed there. Thanks for the patience, everyone, hope you all like them.

Best,

Scott Brick

StephenRDonaldson.com News wrote:"The Second Chronicles" as audio books

Scott Brick is currently winding up negotiations with Ballantine Books to record and sell the three volumes of "The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant." When he is done with recording and production, the second trilogy--like the first--will be available (exclusively?) at:
brickbybrickaudiobooks.com. And once those books are available as downloads or MP3 CDs, he wants to turn his attention to my short fiction and mystery novels. I'm very grateful for all of his efforts on my behalf.

Indubitably. Now that I'm short-sighted I read very little nowadays.

I can't do audio books. They're too slow.

I enjoy audio books greatly. I rarely have time to sit and read these days, so I listen to books when I drive. I'm a big fan of Scott Brick's Covenant recordings. I'm looking forward to these being available soon!

Makes sense. I also don't spend much time driving. My daily commute is only 20km each way. And since I can do a whole book in a couple of days if I put my mind to it (i.e. don't play computer games :) ) it just makes more sense to me.

The audiobook of The Wounded Land is available for download from Scott's site. I posted about it over here, in the Second Chronicles area.
