Why Is My Time Different?

Okay, well the normal answer to this question is: you have to set your time zone in your profile. Mine is GMT - 6. But just to make sure, I just checked my profile and it's set correctly. I also posted a test post in another thread just to make sure I wasn't crazy.

So here's my question, with a little background. Ever since the "spring forward" time change, my browser has always showed the time here to be an hour off (behind I think?). I just ignored it because it wasn't a big deal, and I figured it would revert when the time changed again anyway. But for the last couple of months, for some unknown reason, it's been 12 hours behind. When I posted my test post, it was Friday sept 19 11:00 am where I am, but when it showed up on the thread, it said Thursday sept 18 10:56 pm. This can get quite confusing when I log in to check new messages and then have to log back out before I've read them all, because when I come back the second time, the little orange new message things have gone away, and I have to look for post dates/times.

Anyway, it's not that much of a bother. And Vain, if I'm the only one having this problem then don't you worry yourself about it. I just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this, or happened to know how to fix it. :screwy:

The Arizona thing has reminded me -- I think it might have been Caamora who also has this sort of problem with her time... :?

Hmmm.....You too? :? I tried setting my time zone 12 hours ahead and that did the trick. But just a couple of days ago it shifted back all by itself....and so when I set my time zone back to where it should be, now everything's right again. :?

My bwain hurts. ;)

Greenwich Mean Time (starts at a longitudinal line from the north pole through Greenwich to the South Pole), or Zulu Time. It's kind of the standard... right now I think it's Eastern Standard +4 hours.

Anyone else notice that today's posts, like all those hacked posts of yore, are dated Wed Dec 31? Kind of threw me for a loop until I noticed the year was different....
