New UK cover art

I was looking in the Amazon UK site for something else, and saw that in the UK now there are all-in-one editions of both sets of Chronicles -- and they have some pretty cool cover art! I can't figure out how to put them up in the Gallery, because they are art files, but its worth going to Amazon.com.uk to check them out.
Is that a Forestal on the cover of the First Chrons or a Lord? It was hard for me to tell in the small image...

Whoever he is, he looks pretty cool, though!

That's an awesome cover! A Lord, I think, since it has a staff in its hand.

The UK editions have had that art for decades. I think it's meant to be Wildwood

I just added them to the art gallery. UK 1st & 2nd Chronicles.
Yeah, hard to tell, but I'd like to think it's Wildwood.

Those are the editions I've got. The exact cover changes from time to time (my Dad's copies are from the 70s and if you put the covers side by side, you get a panorama of the Land) but the pic in the circle remains the same

Cool! Wildwood it is then, eh?

He does look all white in the pic, so it makes sense. You don't have a scanner, do you? I'd love to see a better view.

Ah! An item on ebay shows that that cover was originally for TIW!

I do, but I'm not sure I want to cram the Chronicles into it

Not to mention I don't know how to work the thing

Well, Peter Goodfellow is the artist. But I can't find a good image.
Yet!!
Amusingly, this is the 6th TIW cover in the cover gallery at kevinswatch.com. But that's a fuzzy image.

Oh Peter Goodfellow... Lovely pictures (I think they were the final straw that made me borrow the books at the library, long time ago). And you know what - you just don´t just get a long continous view by putting all of them back to back - you are have to open them and turn them towards eachother to almost make a cirkel. Now I unfortunately do not have the books in front of me but I think I recall that the viewpoint (where you look in between LFB and TPTP) is from atop the mountain holding Melencurion Skyweir.
(How come I cannot remember names? The mountain is translated as the cleaved mountain - two peaked, but I cannot remember it.... Not happy abount this. Must carry all the books wherever I go from now on.)
I remember crawling on my tummy to get a glimpse of the land (I did of course not get the bright idea to build this book-circle on a table instead of on the floor...)

no,no. Not THAT water. I thought it actually was a kind of pond atop the mountain... In the swedish translation it is translated to a word which means both barrier and pond... I actually never looked it up when readning it in english, since I "knew" what it was. How can I have been so blind (and stupid)??? I thought of it like a kind of vulcan (not Spock, the other thing which is really hot) but filled with water, and also the reason for the undergroundwater as well... Oh, well, well. (Oh no - not more water!)
Oh - I´m sorry Skyweir, for totally miscomprehending your name as well!
