Apparently Joanne Siegel, Mr. Siegel’s widow, has other plans for the future of the popular superhero. Variety reports that Siegel has signed a contract with Marvel Studios to bring a Superman vs. Spider-Man movie to the big screen by 2012. Siegel will serve as a producer on the project, and has decided to go a very nontraditional route.

Bryan Singer and Sam Raimi have both been signed to co-direct the epic crossover film with Singer directing the Superman/Clark Kent sequences, and Raimi directing the Spider-Man/Peter Parker sequences. The two directors will collaborate on the collisions and action sequences which feature both worlds. Alvin Sargent has been hired to pen the screenplay adaptation.

JoBlo broke the news earlier tonight that Jake Gyllenhaal will be replacing Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Brandon Routh will NOT be returning as the Man of Steel.

I love Spidey, but if they actually fight in the film, I say Supes kicks his sorry ass.

Geez, you're two months late. That was an April Fools joke. But yeah,if the two seriously fought, Spidey'd lose. I dont think Supes would kill him, but he'd probably damage him seriously because Spidey never gives up.

Goddamn it.

Well there wouldn't be a battle any more than there is a contest when a Father arm wrestles a 2 year old girl. If she's still in the bout after 10 seconds it's only because he's being nice. Just about everyone that Superman might fight, Batman, Spiderman, Ant man, Garbage man etc. lasts more than a millisecond because Superman isn't giving it his all.

Which is why Superman is only an OK comic at best, IMHO - but Spidey and Bats are more 'accessible' because they gets their a$$es handed to them on a semi-regular basis.

I dunno. Superman's compassion might make him lose. Peter Parker crying whenever Superman approaches might just make Supes give him a break while Spidey finds some Kryptonite, wraps it around his head and delivers the death blow.

I mainly just wanted to state that Spidey in the movie cries a lot. That is all.

It's been 5 days now. I deleted the post 2 days ago, like I said I would. Batman didn't stop me, despite my challenge. He still hasn't showed, proving he's a coward.
