Yeah, we'll see how non-lame it is. The first one sure didn't set the bar too high.

:?

I can't say the first one had much of a "self contained" goodness itself.

Yeah, it's not like they would say "It's gonna be a lame derivative cg robot film with nothing to do with the original story, AGAIN".

We can but hope.........

Cool. This movie will have "a girl transforming into a woman." I remember in episode 32 of the cartoon when that girl transformed into a woman. That was epic as shit. And then, in the movie, if you stay for the credits, a girl transforms into a woman.

Obviously, Bay is a trusted director, and when he makes sequels and stays true to the Transformer image, you know you're going to have one awesome ride. Girls will be transforming into women and nothing can stop the awesomeness.

Am I the only one here who thought Transformers was the best movie of 2007?

I didn't play with the toys and I almost never watched the cartoon and when I finally watched the film (on dvd) I was like..."that wasn't terrible." I'm guessing it would have had more impact had I watched it in the theater which is why I might be inclined to see the sequel on the big screen if the reviews support it when the time comes.

No. Even my wife liked it. That's a big deal since she mostly likes all those crappy love movies. Transformers was cool. Can't wait to see Fox transform.[/i][/quote]

I thought the movie was simply fantastic. Sunshine, despite it's scientific flaws, was my favourite moviee of 2007, but Transformers comes a close second.

I can't wait for the sequel.
