I wouldn't want to go to Mogadishu anyway, Persepolis yes, but the Bush requiem is to blame for that.

Please explain why Americans AREN'T allowed to go to Cuba?

Cuba is one of the Top Vactions spots for Canadians; and I've never heard a bad thing from ANYone who's gone there.
I know more than a few people who go EVERY year (at least)

Canadian Travel agents are disscouraging tourists from Mexico, mostly because of the number of Candian Tourists who've wound up dead; so the Dominican Republic and Cuba are the two big spots.

Honest, Canadians go to Cuba like it's nothing,

"What are you doing this weekend?"
"Going to Cuba."
"Oh, have fun, I'm going next month."

I think it has something to do with Communism, but I'm not sure. It never made sense to me either, but it's true about the fines of tens of thousands of dollars if the US gov't finds out. Most people I know who go to Cuba go through Mexico or Canada, and Cuba very kindly doesn't mark the passport to make it easier to evade detection.

Seems to me like its a way for the4 US Gub'ment to try to control Cuba's ecconomy, by witholding the millions of US tourist dollars it would be brining in.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuba-United_States_relations

Relations deteriorated again following the election of George W. Bush. Bush declared Cuba to be one of the few "outposts of tyranny" remaining in the world, and his appointed undersecretary to the U.S. State Department, John R. Bolton, accused Cuba of maintaining a bioweapons program.[27] Many in the US, including ex-president Carter, expressed doubts about the claim. Later, Bolton was criticised for pressuring subordinates who questioned the quality of the intelligence John Bolton had used as the basis for the assertion.[28][29] Bolton identified the Castro government as part of America's 'axis of evil', highlighting the fact that the Cuban leader visited several US foes, including Libya, Iran and Syria.[30] Cuba was also identified as a State Sponsor of Terror by the United States Department of State.[31] The Cuban government denies the claim, and in turn has accused the U.S. of engaging in state sponsored terrorism against Cuba.[32] Historian of Cuba, Wayne Smith and Anya K. Landau, write that "none of the reasons given by the Bush administration for maintaining Cuba on the terrorist list withstand the most superficial examination", and that domestic political calculations at the root of the U.S. government's position.

Nope.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuba-United_States_relations
In 1981 President Ronald Reagan’s new administration re-instituted the most hostile policy against Cuba since the invasion at Bay of Pigs. Despite conciliatory signals from Cuba, the administration announced a tightening of the embargo. The U.S. also re-established the travel ban, prohibiting U.S. citizens from spending money in Cuba.

Haven't been there, but I hear it is quite inadequate at representing all of the regions of the world.
