And in honor of the occasion, a drink invented by Jenn and Carla...Seafoam.

Take one dirty melon (watermelon infused with Ketel One vodka), and blend it with the rest of the vodka left in the bottle and some ice.

Actually, the name of the stuff was ng ka pei, which is kinda like rice whiskey. I like it.

The reason it is referred to as "distilled chicken" is because the box for it has a completely plucked and headed chicken on the box as the focal point for the picture, and the rest is in Chinese. Which inspired my ex-fiance's brother to refer to it as distilled chicken, and the name has stuck.

So the picture on the bottle is an 'after use' depiction? :)

I wish.
That is the only photo online I could find for the brand cag served. I don't know if anyone took a picture of the actual bottle itself.

cag did a neat trick of flaming the vapors from the bottle after we finished it off though. It made a truly impressive whoosh as it lit.

You remember everything that was served? I guess you make it your business to do so. I don't know whether to be impressed or afraid. 8O

the real test is if she can tell everyone what you had to eat at Chipotle. If she can, you should be very afraid...unless she kept the receipt....

According to my investigations, ng ka pei is also known as wu jia pi. The following information was of particular interest:
Toxic reactions of wu jia pi wine made from northern wu jia pi include blindness, numbness in limbs, dizziness, and headache; long term use may cause death.
 I need some of that stuff!

Hey, I usually walk around! I was actually considering going to Chinatown anyway this afternoon, but after the stroganoff I didn't feel like it. I need to go before the week's out though.

*shrug*

There's a reason why I wanted to be mod of The Galley. Food fascinates me. Not just the consumption of it, but the farming, harvesting, prepping, cooking, and presentation of it. So yeah...keeping track of what we had isn't all that difficult. It's similar to my recollection of things posted on the Watch and then searching for them to verify what I remember is accurate.

Oh that's easy, as it was our last meal with danlo.

Let's see...

You and your mom shared some chips and salsa.
You had a burrito, either veggie or chicken (I don't think I asked, though you may have told me). I think it was chicken though.
As I said in the SeaFest thread, your mom had the carnitas (pulled pork) burrito.
danlo had the steak tacos and a margarita.
and I had the steak burrito with tomatillo red sauce.

I also remember what Jenn, danlo, cag and Carla, and I (the end of the table I was at) all had at our first meal together at Olive Garden. I wasn't with y'all for breakfast with the bagel bloke. :(
