I have a folder in my 'Favourites' with the homepages of all my favourite bands, that I peruse every month or two to see if they're playing anywhere near me. Recently I've started noticing tours where the bands are playing near Watchers that i think might be interested.
So, if you like live music and are interested, post your general location in here and if I see any good shows in your locale, I'll let you know.
Stars, one of my highlights from last weekend, are on tour in US and canada over the summer. You won't be disappointed!

Wow...they aren't playing in Colorado, but they are playing in Lawrence Kansas where I went to school. The Granada is a good venue too. I'd go see that show if it wasn't 8 hours drive.

I'm actually seeing Nine Inch Nails in Lexington KY in august, I'm pretty sure a few people on the watch live in the region. It's a pretty big show to miss.

Good band! Saw them a couple of times in the past - once at a festival and then again on their own tour.

Well Sarge, I recommend you check out this 'Austin City Limits' festival (?) cos that's Stars playing 26th Sep and Manu Chao on 28th. Who knows what other delights await you there? I've posted three bands' tours, 2 of them are playing, it looks
good!
Edit - Glastonbury is probably much shorter as the crow flies, from me, but it takes 4 hours to get there. It's worth it if the music is good! And if US festies are anything like uk ones, kids are not only catered for, but encouraged, and will have the time of their lives!

Stone,
Austin City Limits is a long running (since 1976) public broadcasting live performance series. I had no idea there was a music festival affiliated with it. It must be incredible...

That was just my assumption, seeing 2 bands playing so close together.... but if it's just a series of concerts, the $$$ will soon mount up I suppose, and you get none of the 'vibe' value that goes with a festival. oh well.

No interest in NIN, here. Besides, Rupp has horrible sound.
Dreaming, it's not too late to see Rush. Their last show of this tour will be in Indy on the 24th. That's a nice amphitheater they'll be playing at. I saw them in Cinci last week and have decided never to see a band there again. Riverbend sucks. I keep toying with the idea of driving up to Indy for one last show.
