I assume it's for real time chats, similar to the Chat Bane. I do still prefer the Chat Bane being more private, but I already expressed that to Vain earlier on the Shoutbox chat...

Oh, I'm not arguing that.
I just prefer the idea of someone having to go into the Chatbane, and being listed as being there, instead of conversations being on the Index page for anyone to view. But, the Shoutbox is also fun.

The Shoutbox is annoying me. I don't like not being able to see the date of posts from previous days. I don't like not being able to scroll down to see the posts from the beginning to view the entire conversation in one cohesive piece. I don't like that I have to adjust my window several times just to make the Shoutbox area big enough to read the entirety of a post. In fact, I don't like a great many things about Shoutbox.

I do like not having to wait for people to be around in order to have a (sort of) conversation with them. That, however, is all I like about it.

But these are just my opinions. [/rant]

Never mind. It just takes a looooooooooong time to appear. Everything is under control. Situation normal ... had a slight weapons malfunction. But everythings perfectly all right now. We're fine.

I entered a message in the Shutbox about three hours ago, and it still hasn't appeared. I suspect others have had the same problem; it usually doesn't go silent this long at this time of day here.
