Is this gonna be another "dude, that's messed up" deal, where we list all the things that are negative in the Chrons? If so, I already participate in that discussion somewhere else, and I am bad at repeating myself already, so I'll have to pass. How about a "dude, that's awesome!" thread instead?

I believe this thread might be an extreme parody to point out the negativity being displayed in the THOOLAH discussion.

Ok, while I am poking fun at the THOOLAHs a little, and to a lesser extent Linden's Soldiers, I am, in my own oblique (obtuse?) way, making a broader point. I didn't choose the entire series nor the references to despite and desecration haphazardly (even if HOOCH was too good of an acronym to let pass).

Damm! And here I thought this was going to be about Diamondraught, springwine and PitchBrew...

Your wit escaped me. I am not a member of THOOLAH, nor do I know much about it. I neither hate nor love LA. I think it would have been better to carry on as before with TC returning to the Land alone for the 2nd Chrons, but someone would have to carry the torch after his death, so I guess LA is as good as anyone. I'd have picked someone else though. Someone whom the Creator also chose and who just hit their head and showed up there alongside TC. Would have put a whole different spin on things, to have someone there he never met in the "real" world before he went back to the Land.

HOOCH is o.k. I guess. I must admit that I would have preferred the Courageous Order Of Chronicle Haters. I am sure that people would line up around the block for a chance to get into the C.O.O.C.H.

Sure, why should Linden get all the incondign vituperation? Let the desecration begin!! ...Oh, yeah. These are books. Works of fiction. No one is forcing me to read them!!

Allow me this opportunity to voice my complete and utter disappointment with author's presentation of the Woodhelvin. There they where, up in their tree homes , workin their lore for home and family, not bothering anybody,,self sufficient,,peaceful,,and what does the author do?..Heck just send in a Raver and blast them all to hell. Okay..okay,,okay,,set'em up so we get really p.o'ed with the Ravers..GOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!..Somebody had to pay the price.

But the author just couldn't let it go at that,,no,,he had to bring'em back,,many generations later,,out in the middle of nowhere,,not bothering anybody,,etc etc..and whats he do? BLASTS them all to Hell again!!!

Well I for one,,am looking for fellow thinkers who have had enough of the gratuitous ruination being bestowed on the Woodhelvin and their Kin!..It just ain't right! I think the author has something about wood people.. carpenters,, what ever,,going on on his head that just ain't right,,So I raise my voice and hope to be heard..Come join me and lets send a clear voice to the author,, enough is enough!!,,Join me now!! the Lamenters of Unnecessary Woodhelvin Zugzwangian Entrapment by Reed Stephens ,,Wiil Be Heard!

I really felt bad for the Woodhelvin, too. However ... HOOCH implies alcohol and THOOLAH sounds like "Hoorah!" Carnac the Magnificent predicts that calling the group LUWZERS will not drive enrollment through the (thatched) roof.
