"Thank you sir. I will bring these back."
Laying an additional three pieces of silver and two coppers on the counter, Irian took the proffered bowl and mug and went back to the square with them to Vargon.
Offering them to her escort, she looks shyly at him. "Any sign of him, my friend?" she gently asked.

He loked to the elf... she's so beautiful...
oh Rats... you know soldier! This is only work, you have to protect her not to love her!
"oh milady... i'm waiting... i hope the child is ok... i'm sure he will come back soon" he said without looking in her eyes, while he toke the mug.
"Do you think i should go and search for him?"

Irian noticed the uncertainty in his eyes, and wished to sooth it away.
"Brother Charn asked the innkeeper regarding your street waif. I guess it is uncertain that it is the same lad, but if he guessed at the lad's identity correctly, he will most likely not return, nor need you concern yourself further with him. Apparently..."
She hesitated before saying more.
"...apparently, he is a guild master's son, and does such things out of boredom."
She saw what she thought was dawning mirth in his eyes, and smiled up at him again.
"Come inside and finish your meal. You have yet to relax after all the fighting and transporting of silver that we have done. Come."
And she reached for his arm and gently pulled.

Seeing the elf heading back into the inn with her large bodyguard, the rogue sighed and shook his head, almost as though he argued with himself.
"Irian," he called.
"I've acquired these potions," he placed two stoppered vials of potion on the tabletop. Any chance you can identify them for us?"

Fooled by a child... it is so hard to swallow! This ale should do better to clean that thought from my mind or ...
Rats... so fool! Better to focus on other things and just forget that bastard guy...
"Ehm.. Xavier why you have acquired that potions and you dunno what they do?" he asked to the rogue

Charn will attempt to assist Irian in identifying the potions, if she is willing.
Having done that, and barring any interruptions, he will retire to his room for the evening, cast his remaining Cure Minor Wounds upon himself, sleep through the rest of the day and awaken early enough to pray to restore his spells for the next day.

Irian looked towards Vargon. "It happens. Have you forgotten the unknown potion I received from the Nixie?
"Although..., she quietly mused to the rogue, "it may help to identify these if you tell us how you did come upon them.
"And in return, I may ask a favor of you later tonight..."
Turning towards the cleric, Irian barely stifled a yawn.
"Brother, it is early yet, but I understand your need for rest. I think after I attempt to identify these potions with your help, if Xavier allows me to see, smell, and potentially taste them, I will make a quick visit to Gerald's and then I too will retire to my room for a little meditation. However, four hours should be enough for me, and I may see the rest of you before you all retire."
Irian awaits permission from Xavier to open the vials and lightly manipulate the potions, as well as hearing how he came across them, should he share.
[ooc]Once Xavier replies, do a spellcraft check please with Charn (and anyone else who may agree and be able) doing an aid another check. After the attempt, Irian will go to Gerald's for a few more supplies, return and seek out a private word with Xavier, than retire to her room for four hours of trance, hopefully rejuvenating her spells.[/ooc]

Irian, with Charn lending a helping hand, attempts to identify the use of these potions. Unfortunately neither of them recognise the potions.
Irian hands the potions back to Xavier and then heads out of the door to Gerald's. She returns in a few moments and requests a private word with Xavier.

Xavier shrugged, and swept the vials off the table and into one of his pouches. "Perhaps the alchemist will be able to help with these, once we reach Tethil."
"If there's nothing else to be done, I think I'll turn in too...it's been a long day, and we have a very early start ahead of us."
He rose from the table.

[While resting overnight, Charn dreams of kidnapping the Guildmaster's son, taking him to Tethil, and teaching him a life-affirming lesson....while intruded upon by shifting visions of blacksmiths, tigers, apothecaries, evil corpses, strangling plants, and alchemists]

Irian watched the rogue depart with a thoughtful look on her face. She expected no different, and acknowledged his thinking as right. But, she saw this as a shade of gray situation, and resolved to proceed with her intent on her own...
