Map of the Land

I recently signed up so please forgive me if this subject has been previously covered.
I'd love to know opinions regarding the map of The Land. Do you think there is more to the Land that isn't shown? Could it be a Land in the style of our Earth or do you think it's only as shown?
I ask because the giants were known as the unhomed, they had come from another place and couldn't find their way home. Also, the Haruchai originated from a place not shown on the map.
If there is more to the Land, is Lord Foul a threat to it all or just the Land shown on the map?
Thanks, Jeanette

There is more to the
Earth. The Land is merely one special part of it. And it IS special.
Stephen R Donaldson, in the Gradual Interview, wrote:Here's how I look at it: the Land is the main "arena" for a struggle which obviously has implications for the entire Earth. Clearly there are important side-struggles taking place elsewhere (I'm thinking of the peril Kastenessen was Appointed to stop). But clearly, also, unique beings like the Elohim are aware of the Land and Lord Foul. And the first six books hint in various ways that Earthpower (while arguably universal) flows closer to the surface, or is more accessible, in the Land than elsewhere. Hence the Land has become the main battleground.

in the second chronicles there are actually maps or sketches of brathairain harbor and surrounding continent or the coast and i think rawedge rim also. im not sure if they included it in newer editions.
unfortunately the only info we get on The Giants Homeland is Salt Tooth and the course run by Honninscrave and Seadreamer.

Yea, a map of the Giants' Home would've been cool, but since the party never went there...
The maps in TOT didn't really add much for me... compared to the maps of the Land, which I love, or something like a map of the entire seas they traversed. But understandably, SRD didn't want to get that detailed.

Are there better, bigger maps of the Land available, either on-line or for sale (like those maps of Middle Earth you can buy in bookstores)? While reading The Illearth War, a couple of times, I had problems figuring out which direction they were supposed to go because of the size of the map. This could be because I'm not good with maps

, but I did get a better idea after finding some maps on web sites. The distance was more obvious or something.
BTW which TC book has the best map? On my copy, Garrotting Deep looks like it's made of little dark smudges, but on other copies, you can actually tell the smudges are trees.

there is an actual Atlas of the land you could probably get on Ebay. Also, I made a map based on the map included in the first Chronicles. if you go to the album link at the top and select the Laborium its in there, or you can click the www button under my post and see the latest version..everything on my website is posted here except the latest version of the map thats only on my webpage, actually theres alot of my stuff thats posted only here and not even on my own page

I think im done so i will post the last version of it here soon.
