..Health experts have determined Minimum Daily Requirements of vitamins, minerals ad infinitum necessary for maintaining good healthy bodies. yay for the body. So.. what is your minimum daily requirements for maintaining your spirit,,sense of self,,who you are..your " balance', etc.?

At a younger age,,i would have thought sex would be at the top or near the most required,,but as a recipient of the rewards of Time..sex is no longer a daily requirement. Yet a penetrating look into the eyes of a Woman is a daily requirement . Old habits die hard.

The Internet has shown me the Truth of a survey I had to take awhile back at work. Basically,, all of us have a need to creatively express ourselves . However which way we do that is up to us individually, as to where our talents lay,,but the daily requirement to do so is real and the internet allows us the means.

I am also in the habit of checking out the nite's sky. Astronomy had me by its infinite grips for some years and to this day at least a peek is a requirement before bedtime, verified by the slite unease brought by a cloudy nite. Something about the stars brings every thing into balance for me. I require that.

A certain amount of Love,,either expressed, felt, shared, in any imaginable or unimaginable way seems to be a ever growing requirement. Again..what I thought was Love at a young age has expanded and with that has came an apparent need expansion. Interesting..reverse relationship of sex and Love over Time.

Care to share any of your daily requirements that you are conscious of or even unconscious of..?

Coffee! Without a coffee each day i'd slowly devolve into some sort of brain-dead caveman.
But seriously i'd say that I need to learn something each day, even if its a tiny snippet of useless information. I love to learn things so I consider a day without learning something a day wasted.

Some down time where I can lay about and just do something meaningless like watching a bit of something on the tv, whether it be a dvd or videogame, or just read a book. I get especially tense if I go several days without a bit of input like this and no down time. Vacations have occasionally been go-Go-GO and I'm always exhausted at the end of those things.

Definitely some down-time, where I can get engrossed in my current book to the exclusion of all else, especially first thing in morning and last thing at night. Used to be my smoking time too, which was the reason I thought I'd never give up. (nearly 20 months now :D It was the downtime and reading that was the important bit, not the nicotine, I now realise)

Some lighthearted banter and teasing.

some KW.

some Pantheon, when it's going.

some music, though not essential, helps.

A Diet Sunkist on the way to work at 6:30 in the morning, a few minutes to wind down and play my guitar after work, hugs, sitting in the kids bedroom and reading them a chapter of a book at bedtime (I am currently reading them The Hobbit).

1. I must observe or take part in something creative, whether it be watching a movie, playing the viola, or crocheting a scarf.
2. I must challenge my brain, whether it be reading a book about a complex topic or working on a puzzle.
3. I must visit Kevins Watch and/or Conceptispuzzles, either of which can cover the first two requirements at times.
4. I must do something that I feel is "productive", which can also be either of the first two.
5. I must receive or give a hug.
