An Instance of the Fingerpost is definitely one of the best books I ever read. An account of a murder is given by three very different people in 17th century England... the change in perspective and sympathizing with antagonists is one of my favored elements in books. Very well done!!

Wow, yeah...I read that years ago. I remember really enjoying it, but now I don't remember any of the details. I should probably pick this up again.

really? one of the best you've read? hmmm. i actually liked it the least of Pears books. tho it was chocked full of great history!!
