Okay so currently, I own the following Dylan albums:
Blood on the Tracks (by far my favorite)
Blonde on Blonde
Desire
Modern Times
"Love and Theft"
Highway 61 Revisited
and The Essential Bob Dylan
I'm looking to expand my collection. I'm currently downloading the "Royal Albert Hall Concert" (part of the Bootleg Series). Apparently his most famous concert. Anyone have any recommendations? His body of work is so vast, it's hard to know where to begin.

Blood on the Tracks is fantastic.
I also really like Time Out Of Mind. Very blue-sy, but with a dark, ambient feel (a la Daniel Lanois - who produced it). Very nice.

Call me crazy, but I actually enjoyed both Infidel and Down in the Groove.

Here's what I've acquired since yesterday (the Internet is a wonderful thing):
No Direction Home (soundtrack)
The Basement Tapes
Time Out of Mind
John Wesley Harding
Lots of good stuff.

Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks are two of my favorites as well. Desire is good but I can't recommend his fashion statement on the cover, LOL. Nashville Skyline is very good but somewhat atypical of his sound (as the title may suggest.) "Girl from the North Country" from this album is one of my favorite songs of his. The only thing I would add is that I really like his stuff with The Band. They are one of my all-time favorites as well. The Basement Tapes is great and I thought that Before the Flood (live album of Dylan with The Band) was an excellent live show. In the end I would recommend that you always go through some song samples on Amazon before buying anything since his sound can really vary album to album. LOL, this really takes me back...
