*steps quickly aside at the approach of an ominous rumble and scary looking, fast moving dust cloud.*

Mommy where do Sandgorgons come from?

Well we know the Giants helped fight them off and the Kemper enslaved them. What exactly are they and where did they come from? Were they just naturally there doing their thing until humans came

I can't help but think that the knowledge gained by NOM in rending and consuming the Raver has made him a bit more sophisticated in managing his already busy business schedule. I mean picture it: running halfway around the world everytime somebody drops your name.
I don't doubt that NOM will show up, but you can likely expect him to charge you a huge call-out fee if you want on-site suicide services on such short notice.
With warm and final regards,
Callindrill, who wonders why those great horses from the plains of Ra didn't catch onto the entrepreneurial potential of showing up exactly when they were needed.

I suppose if you gotta go that is a pretty effective way to get it done. See you on the other side.

LOL, thought someone had moved my poem to the TC board.
Hey, NOM may be good, but can he beat this?

Here's a thought... though TC summoned him twice, I believe he freed Nom after helping to put out the Bane-fire and destroying the Clave and Gibbon. Thus Nom is probably the only free Sandgorgon of the entire Earth. Thus saying his name wouldn't have the same effect... except strike terror into the hearts of those trying to intimidate you.
Kinda makes you wonder...
The second time Covenant said Nom... do Sandgorgons swim? The Search traveled back across the same ocean and ice, thus it stands to reason that the Sandgorgon had to do the same... or did he show up by taking the long way around?

he would have just run across the bed of the ocean, I reckon ... or maybe he can walk on water with the big floppy flat clown-shoes feet of his.

perhaps the sandgorgon has some form of rocket power to boost it around the world?
i cant recall heaps about sandgorgons, how many of them are there, do they live in families/herds or anything?

that would be pretty freaky, seeing a heard of sandgorgons coming for you if you said the family name!

Seems to me you can justify this with the same/similar logic as the beautiful horses of Ra. Once bonded, you whistle, and they are there. The same power is there with Nom.

He moves at a fair lick, I'd say he probably runs across the surface. Anyone seen the film Remo?
