While I believe it is our civic duty to vote, I guess it doesn't hurt to be rewarded for doing your civic duty...

Free Starbucks Coffee
Free Ben and Jerry's

Does anyone know of any other offers for voting tomorrow?
May as well spread the word...

California Tortilla in the DC area is giving a coupon for a free taco.

I knew about Starbucks but I didn't know about Ben & Jerry's -- thanks, Menolly!

I did as well.
But I still have my "I Voted" sticker.
And, it is for the current election, so I think I'm not bending the rules to take up these offers...

You are very welcome, ali!

I voted absentee and I paid $2 for a frappuccino today. Woe is me.

But seriously I hope everyone here votes today.

*soft smile*

Well...
Rejoice that it is only a brewed coffee that they're giving away.
Nothing as fancy as a frappuccino.
After voting, voters must go to a Starbucks store, where they’ll be given a tall (12 oz) cup of brewed coffee at no charge (limit one per customer).

 Right right. I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm stressed out of my mind about this election.

I don't even want to think about what Hyperception might get involved in if McCain wins...

If McCain wins I'm moving to Alaska, becoming a lumberjack and secede from the US.

Gosh! Wish they'd give us incentives like free Starbucks (hmmmmmm....sttttaaarrrrrbbbbuuuuccckkkksssssssss!).

Instead, here we vote or we get fined a couple of hundred bucks (incentive enough for me! :P)

That's the way it should be.

Well, I do tend to think that if you don't vote you don't have any right to complain if your president (or in our case, prime minister) isn't doing what you want him to do.

...then again, these days I'm a bit disillusioned: no matter who gets into power, they generally tend to disappoint me.

Then again, we have a PM called Kevin, and he's cute in a really geeky way:

or, for something completely different: the infamous ear picking and eating incident in parliament a couple of months ago:

Gotta love someone who eats their own earwax!!!

Sorry! I hijacked! Me bad!

Seareach,

I never saw this wax-eating incident. That's pretty hilarious.

What if they are all equally useless liars?

I don't think y'all have anything to worry about. Your horse is going to win.

I love my country and I'm not going anywhere. I figure that I survived 8 years of Bill Clinton, I can survive anything. ;)
